It could be summed up as A LITTLE KNOWLEDGE IS TOO DANGEROUS. This reminds me of the story where someone tells a man that the crow has taken ur ear. Instead of checking whether or not the ear is present in the body, the man starts chasing the crow !!!! In the Same manner, the bedroom dominance is being fought in the name of a medicinal product and a TV serial ! How ridiculous!

Yes, it is. I find my parents watching that show and all those MTV shows and I don’t understand how they can stand to watch shows such as that. I suppose preference but honestly Bijoy is right, that is ridiculous and doesn’t really seem right. I suppose some guys are becoming more and more suggestible.

It is not just men who are suggestible to media but women as well.. Isn’t that why girls are anorexic.. Media influences people in an alarming fashion. It is more so because advertisers work on the principle ’sex sells’ however cliched it might sound. And sex does sell. Otherwise people wouldn’t be watching ’Sex and the City’. You can’t blame the media until you can change people’s attitudes about their bodies. Media is what we are. Its a vicious circle. People love to watch bronzed bodied men and women and that is what the TV/programme producers give you because they have to make a living too. They can’t make money with Doordarshan type of programmes. The flipside is, people get so influenced by the programmes and socital expectations about the opposite sex and also self expectations turn unreasonable and unrealistic. Be it bad body image, sexual insecurities, you name it. The solution seems to be in the hands of people. Till people get bored of unrealistic glamour it shall continue.. Which I don see happening.....
